Reincarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha Is Revealed

by Sharon S. March 31, 2021

The Explanation of the Buddha’s Title – “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III”

On April 3, 2008, a solemn and dignified first-publishing ceremony of a fact-recording book entitled H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, which published jointly by the World Buddhism Publishing LLC and the World Dharma Voice, Inc., was held at the Library of the Congress of the United States. The book was also formally accepted into the collection of the Library of the Congress of the United States. Only since that time, did people in the world know that Master Wan Ko Yee, who had been broadly respected by the great masses and who had also been known as Great Dharma King Yangwo Yeshe Norbu, had been recognized by the world’s leaders, regent dharma kings, and great rinpoches of Buddhism through official documents as the third incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, who is the primordial Sambhogakaya Buddha of the universe. The Buddha’s name is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Since then, people began to address His Holiness the Buddha by “Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III.” This is similar to the situation that Sakyamuni Buddha’s name was Prince Siddhartha Gotama before attaining Buddhahood. However, after Sakyamuni Buddha had attained Buddhahood, His title changed to “Namo Sakyamuni Buddha.” That is why we now address His Holiness the Buddha as “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.”

In particular, on December 12, 2012, the Senate Resolution No. 614 of the United States Congress officially used “His Holiness” in the name addressing Dorje Chang Buddha III (That is to say, “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.”) Since then, the title and status of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has been definitive by nature. And, as a matter of fact, “Dorje Chang Buddha III” is a name used legally in governmental and official legislative documents. Therefore, the previously used respected name and titles such as “Wan Ko Yee,” Great Master, and Great Dharma King no longer exist.

However, the news below was published before the Buddha’s title of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was publicly announced. At that time, people did not know about the true status of His Holiness the Buddha. Therefore, to respect the true history, we still kept the names used before the title of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was legitimately determined in republishing this news. However, all must clearly know that the only legitimate name of His Holiness the Buddha is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and all other names used before the legitimate determination no longer exist.

The Treasure Book

In 2006 a manuscript copy of the book A Treasury of True Buddha-Dharma documenting a few of the accomplishments of H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu (Master Wan Ko Yee) was distributed to the leading Buddhist practitioners of various sects. These were incarnated Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who are greatly accomplished themselves. After reviewing the book, they were shocked. A number of them entered into a deep samadhi state and traveled to the dharma realms to investigate just who H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu really is while others came to the same conclusion just from reading the book. This book reveals what they found and includes the certificates of recognition and congratulatory letters from many who responded. Never in the history of Buddhism has anyone received such a large number of recognitions and written congratulations from great dharma kings and rinpoches of the highest order in the world.

What they found was that H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu is the second incarnation of the famous layman Venerable Vimalakirti who was actually the second incarnation of the great Sambhogakaya Buddha Dorje Chang. H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu is Dorje Chang the Third–the leader of all Buddhas and the highest and greatest Buddha in the dharma realm. All dharma originated with Dorje Chang! No wonder the Buddha Master was able to accomplish so much in so short a time! No wonder the Buddha’s discourses can be considered sutras! They are sutras because this holy being is a Buddha–in fact, the primordial Buddha. Dorje Chang Buddha has come to this world for the third time to help restore the correct dharma as taught by Shakyamuni Buddha and to give us dharma methods that are suitable for our age and place. Shakyamuni Buddha only taught 30% of the Buddha-dharma that He possessed while He lived in this world. He taught Ananda additional and higher dharma so that Ananda could, in turn, teach Guru Padmasambhava, who brought the highest dharma to Tibet. Generally speaking, this world was simply not ready for the higher dharmas at that time.

This most extraordinary book detailing thirty categories of accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and the recognition the Buddha has received from the most highly realized Buddhist Masters and leaders in the world today was published and released in April 2008 as H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and formally presented to members of Congress and their staffs, ambassadors, and other dignitaries at a special event sponsored by the the Library of Congress, the Organization of American States, and the International Buddhism Sangha Association. This book is now available for the general public. The book reveals the true identity of this Buddha and how and why the Buddha came to this world.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III also contains the translation of a discourse by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III entitled “What Is Cultivation?” This is such a special transmission of dharma that when this discourse was being given, great holy beings from the dharma realms came to the mandala and blessed those present. This event as well as many other holy occurrences or miracles relating to the Buddha are also documented in the book and on this web site. Examples include turning ordinary water into Bodhi Holy Water that can heal and perform miracles; the bestowal of true holy nectar from the sky by the Buddhas; precious holy pills that chant, dance, fly, and increase; the appearance of magnificent Dharma Protectors; rainbow body states; and other evidence of enlightened activity. Many of this Buddha’s disciples are incarnations of great ancient virtuous ones.

The names of some of the leading Buddhists who provided testimonials about H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III along with brief biographies and pictures of who these living Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are can be found in Sixty Dharma Kings, et al.

The book demonstrates the outstanding, unprecedented, and complete mastery of exoteric Buddhism (the Tripitaka), esoteric Buddhism, and the Five Vidyas attained by H.H. Dorje Chang III.

Although the Five Vidyas are simplistically defined as the Healing, Craftsmanship (art and technology), Sound, Causality (logic), and Inner-Realization, they really represent all that is good in the universe—the original or true nature of everything. Very briefly, they include fixing that which is broken, incomplete, or inferior; creating beauty or joy; all forms of communication by sentient and non-sentient beings or things; the relationship between cause and effect; and supernormal powers. The Five Vidyas are the manifestation of the powers and wisdoms of holy beings. These vidyas represent the realization of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas — they are the result of what holy beings do. They encompass everything seen and unseen, animate and inanimate in the universe that is beneficial to living beings. Everything in the universe can be classified into five aspects of brightness and darkness. That is the real meaning of the Five Vidyas. To develop everything that is good in the universe and that benefits living beings is classified as “bright,” while that which confuses and is evil is classified as “dark.”

The accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang III are not limited to the human realm or even to sentient beings. Animals and beings from other realms have taken refuge in the Buddha and come to listen to the Buddha’s discourses. The Buddha also takes mist from the air with His hand, puts it inside a hole in a sculpted boulder, and makes it stay there. Those who see this incredible holy work are amazed and blessed by it.

The book also explains the role that supernormal powers play in Buddhism and why Shakyamuni Buddha both manifested such powers and spoke against them. The book gives many examples of the use of supernormal powers by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, by His disciples, as well as by the other incarnations of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who are mentioned in the book. Their brief biographies and the incarnated identities of some of them are also included in the book. This book is a treasure never before seen in the past several thousand years. It proves that the true Buddha-dharma expounded by Shakyamuni Buddha and this ancient Buddha does still exist in this world and that it is possible to obtain by all who want to learn it.

In this Dharma-Ending Age of such gross commercialism within religious institutions, one of the most amazing statements in the book is The Buddha’s personal vow that He will only benefit living beings and not accept any offerings. This Buddha actually supports many philanthropic causes as well as His disciples and temples through His own creative endeavors in art, businesses, innovations, etc. and not the reverse. His state of unselfishness is beyond imagination.

Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche, a close disciple of the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, represented the International Buddhism Sangha Association, in leading a group of lamas and laypersons on a tour of the U.S.A. to introduce to the West this Buddha and the treasures contained in this precious book. They also made offerings at stupas and holy sites across the land in honor of this most wonderful and auspicious event and prayed for world peace, the good fortune of all Americans, and the prosperity of the country. This tour and many of the teachings given by the Buddha are documented in the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Is Living in America.

Reincarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha Is Revealed

2008/03/26

Washington, DC (March 26, 2008) — H.H. Master Wan Ko Yee, an international master of Buddhism, is the actual reincarnation of the primordial Buddha according to leaders from all major sects of Buddhism worldwide. It is the second time in more than 2,500 years that Dorje Chang Buddha has manifested himself in human form and the third time that Dorje Chang Buddha has manifested in the universe. Master Wan Ko Yee’s identity as Dorje Chang Buddha III is revealed and authenticated through evidence contained in a book recently published and kept secret until today.

The book records and verifies H.H. Master Yee’s spiritual enlightenment and his many accomplishments as a world-class Yun sculptor, artist, poet, calligrapher, philosopher, painter, and medical expert in healing illnesses. More than twenty holy leaders of Buddhism have formally determined and affirmed through personal attestations and written proclamations that H.H. Master Yee is the holy and most honored leader of Buddhism and the true incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha — that is, Dorje Chang Buddha III.

“H.H. Master Yee’s accomplishments outshine the accomplishments of all others, both ancient and modern. His Holiness is a paragon of enlightenment,” said H.H. Dharma King Jigme Dorje Rinpoche, the supreme leader of the Jonang sect, one of the most evolved Buddhist Masters whose testimony appears in the book. “H.H. Master Yee comprehends the supreme and profound Buddha-Dharma (teachings). He is the Buddhist equivalent of the Pope.”

The book will be presented to the Library of Congress on Thursday, April 3, 2008. Copies will be distributed to all public libraries and to Buddhist temples. Revered leaders of most of the 360 million adherents of Buddhism worldwide (of which six million reside in the United States), the President of the International Buddhism Sangha Association, the Chairman of the World United Buddhism Federation, and sixteen Dharma Kings and Rinpoches from around the world will also attend the presentation of the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III .

H.H. Master Yee was born in Sichuan, China. Like many other individuals, religious freedom drew His Holiness to the United States and in 1999 he arrived with his wife, Yuhua Wang, and his two children, Hang Kung Yee and Pui Chu Yee. H.H. Master Yee is a permanent resident and resides in both Pasadena and Oakland, California.

Buddhism is a body of religious traditions, philosophies, and teachings all in pursuit of enlightenment and truth. The religion was founded approximately in the 5th Century BCE by Siddhartha Gautama, an Indian prince who renounced his throne to dedicate his life to teaching his insights (dharma) on the nature of the universe and the alleviation of suffering in the world. Having attained enlightenment (bodhi), he was known as Buddha, or “Enlightened One.” The many traditions that make up the worldwide Buddhist Sangha, or society, maintain his legacy by preserving and teaching his philosophy. Buddhism is the fourth largest religion after Christianity, Islam and Hinduism.

Master Wan Ko Yee Recognized as the True Incarnation of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

April 09, 2008
The following was released by the International Buddhism Sangha Association:

At a special ceremony held April 3 at the Library of Congress of The United States, the International Buddhism Sangha Association (IBSA) presented to the American people the newly-published precious Buddhist book called H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

Dr. Judy S. Lu, Director of the Asian Branch of the Library of Congress accepted the book from the Venerable Dharma Teacher Long Hui, president of the IBSA. According to the Venerable Long Hui, the publication of this precious book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III announces to the entire world the news that a true Buddha has descended into the world. This incarnated Buddha is Dorje Chang Buddha (aka Buddha Vajradhara), who is the primordial and highest Buddha according to the lineage charts of all Buddhist sects. The entire name of this Buddha is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Holiest Tathagata Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu. More than fifty of the world’s highest great dharma kings, rinpoches, and other persons of holy virtue have recognized or congratulated His Holiness as being the true incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha. Those recognitions were made in accordance with the standard rituals of Buddhism by which such an identity is recognized. No other person in history has received so many recognitions from people of such high status.

The publication of this book reveals that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Holiest Tathagata Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu is H.H. Master Wan Ko Yee, who now resides in the United States. People around the world know H.H. Master Wan Ko Yee as a Buddhist Master who is completely proficient in exoteric and esoteric Buddhism and who has perfect mastery of the Five Vidyas. Before His Holiness was recognized as the incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha according to the rituals of Buddhism, Buddhists called him a great Dharma King because of his vast talents. They never imagined at that time that His Holiness is the true incarnation of a Buddha in this world. Actually, the status of His Holiness was already entered into the Congressional Record earlier.

H.H. Master Wan Ko Yee has been teaching and edifying people for several decades. In the past, His Holiness used the names “Anonymous Practitioner,” “Ordinary Cultivator,” and “Servant of Living Beings” to refer to himself. His Holiness has never called himself a Buddha. His Holiness has severely dealt with those so-called “eminent monastics and greatly virtuous ones” who claimed to have attained realization when in fact they had not. His Holiness has even more severely berated those disciples who are ordinary people yet claimed to be holy ones. Great karmic conditions have now matured in Buddhism that are of benefit to living beings. In accordance with these karmic conditions, holy and virtuous dharma kings, regent dharma kings, and great rinpoches of various Buddhist sects have announced the true identity of His Holiness.

The book presentation ceremony took place in the Member’s Room of the Library of Congress, which is reserved for the use of congresspersons, at the request of the late chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee, Hon. Tom Lantos. The ceremony was hosted by the Library of Congress and the International Buddhism Sangha Association. Among the honored guests who attended were congressional representatives, including Republican Congresswoman Hon. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, ranking member of Foreign Affairs Committee, ambassadors from the United Nations, ambassadors from the Americas diplomatic corps, and the Chief of Protocol of the Organization of American States. Also in attendance were dharma kings, rinpoches, and dharma teachers from around the world who belong to a wide variety of Buddhist sects, such as the Sakya, Nyingma, Geluk, Kagyu, Kadampa, Jonang, Chod, exoteric, Zen, and Pure Land sects.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III did not attend that grand ceremony. H.E. Denma Tsemang Great Dedengba II Longzhi Tanpe Nyima Rinoche, who is the person responsible for arranging audiences with H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, said that His Holiness was in retreat praying for world peace and for the safety and well-being of all living beings. That is why His Holiness was unable to attend that grand ceremony.

Famous incarnations of extremely holy Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, all of whom are of the highest order in Buddhism today, have recognized or congratulated H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata as being the true incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the primordial sambhogakaya Buddha. Those who issued recognitions or congratulations include H.H. Dharma King Sakya Trizin, the supreme leader of the Sakya sect; H.H. Dharma King Dodrupchen IV, the sole holder of the complete Longchen Nying-thik dharma; H.H. Dharma King Penor, the third person to hold the position of supreme dharma king of the Nyingma sect; H.H. Dharma King Omniscience Jamyang Lungdok Gyaltsen of the Nyingma sect; H.H. Dharma King Jigme Dorje, the supreme leader of the Jonang sect; H.H. Dharma King Taklung Tsetrul of the Northern Treasure lineage within the Nyingma sect; H.E. Dharma King Trulshik, who is a personal master of H.H. Dalai Lama; H.H. Dharma King Jigdal Dagchen of the Sakya sect; H.E. Dharma King Tsharpa of the Sakya sect, who was also a personal master of the Dalai Lama; H.E. Regent Dharma King Shamarpa of the Kagyu sect; H.E. Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche of the Kagyu sect, a regent dharma king and National Master; H.E. Dharma King Ngagwang Pedma Namgyal Palzangpo of the Jonang sect; H.E. Dharma King Xiazhu Qiuyang of the Geluk sect; H.E. Dharma King Rabjam of the Shechen Monasteries; H.E. Dzogchen Dharma Kings of the Dzogchen Monasteries; H.E. Dharma King Renzeng Nima, the master of Nian Long Rinpoche and dakini Dari Lamao; H.E. Urgyen Xirao Woxiu, the incarnation of Urgyen Lingpa, who was a great Dedengba; Venerable Yundeng Jiangcuo Rinpoche, the incarnation of Patriarch Milarepa; H.E. Khenchen Rinpoche of the Mindrolling Monastery; H.E. Khandro Rinpoche, the incarnation of holy mother Yeshe Tsogyal; H.E. Ganor Rinpoche; H.E. Dharma King Renqing Rongbo Barongbo, an eastern Tibetan dharma king; H.E. Green Jewel Crown Karmapa Dharma King; H.E. Tangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche, a famous figure of great holiness and virtue in Tibetan esoteric Buddhism; the Qinghai Kumbum Monastery, which was the monastery of Master Tsongkhapa; the Mindrolling Monastery of the Nyingma sect; and many others. All of these highest-level dharma kings, rinpoches, and monasteries of various Buddhist sects have recognized or congratulated H.H. Master Wan Ko Yee for being the true incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, for being H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, and for having a level of realization and accomplishment unmatched by anyone else in history.

During his speech, H.E. Denma Tsemang II Longzhi Tanpe Nyima Rinpoche offered silk scarves to the precious book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. He in essence said the following in part of his speech: The founder of Buddhism in our earthly world is Sakyamuni Buddha. Dorje Chang Buddha is the first sambhogakaya Buddha in the universe with form and is the highest leader of Buddhism in the universe. Amitabha Buddha, who people know of, was a disciple of Dorje Chang Buddha. Dorje Chang Buddha also transformed into Dipamkara Buddha, who taught Buddha-dharma to Sakyamuni Buddha. Thus, Dorje Chang Buddha is called the primordial sambhogakaya Buddha in the universe. If Dorje Chang Buddha did not exist in the universe, there would be no Buddha-dharma, there would be no Buddhas, and of course there would be no Buddhism or Buddhist disciples. Thus, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is naturally the highest leader of Buddhism. The book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the most complete and magnificent Buddhist book in the recorded history of earth.

Master Long Hui of the International Buddhism Sangha Association said during her speech: Because H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu is the true incarnation of the primordial Buddha, the wisdom of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is higher than that of any other Buddha. His Holiness has the same status in Buddhism as the Pope has in Catholicism. The accomplishment of His Holiness in the dharma is higher than that of all others in the universe. That is why the accomplishments that His Holiness manifests in this world are unique. The book uses pictures and text to record numerous magnificent accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. These accomplishments are backed up by irrefutable facts. The contents of the book will benefit countless living beings. Because the level of enlightenment of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is higher than that of any other Buddha, His Holiness can transmit a Buddha-dharma that causes the disciple who receives it to attain enlightenment and liberation within two hours. It is the fastest Buddha-dharma practice whereby a disciple can enter and leave a Buddha-land at will.

Those Buddhists of holy virtue who were fortunate to have attended the book presentation ceremony were very astounded and moved at what they heard about this Buddha who has descended into the world.

Who Is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III? By Zhaxi Zhuoma

May 1, 2013

Someone recently asked on “YAHOO! ANSWERS” a question concerning who the Buddha is of the current era and just who is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III? I was too late to post a response and could not have done an adequate job with only 300 characters anyhow. I did provide a link to this article as a comment. Most of the responses were correct–the Buddha for the current era is Shakyamuni Buddha, but that does not explain the relationship of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to Shakyamuni Buddha.

I follow H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and have ever since I first encountered His writings in an unusual little book titled True Stories About a Holy Monk thirteen years ago. Prior to that I studied and practiced Zen Buddhism and the shamanic arts for over fifteen years.

Although I knew this was an extraordinary teacher and holy person, none of us who followed this holy being knew who He was until a draft manuscript of a book about His accomplishments in this life was published and distributed to many of the leading Buddhist living in the world at that time. This happened around 2007. Many of the most highest accomplished Buddhist (not all were the most well known) recognized that this was a very special incarnation and wrote letters stating that fact which were included in the final version of the book that was published and presented to the Library of Congress and the world in a grand ceremony in April, 2008. Later that year and the next, I and a group of monks, nuns, and laypeople voluntarily traveled to all 50 states presenting the book to governors, librarians, tribal chiefs, and others and giving a talk on just who H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is and why He had come to America. You can read more about all these events on this website.

Many of the current Buddhist sects hold that Dorje Chang Buddha or Vajradhara Buddha was the originator of Buddhism as such. This is especially true in the vajrayana traditions. You will see this dark blue Buddha at the top of their lineage trees. Dorje Chang Buddha was the first samboghakaya manifestation of the formless Dharmakaya Buddha and was the teacher of all dharma to all the other buddhas in the ten directions including Shakyamuni Buddha. Only one other time did Dorje Chang Buddha incarnate in this world and that was at the time of Shakyamuni Buddha to help teach Shakyamuni Buddha’s disciples. That was as the great holy venerable one, Honorable Vimalakirti. At that time, Shakyamuni Buddha praised Honorable Vimalakirti in the Vimalakirti-Nirdesa Sutra, ”People who make offerings to this person should know that they are making offerings to a Buddha. One who transcribes and learns this sutra should know that a Tathagata is right with him in the same room.” This statement means that, in addition to Shakyamuni Buddha, there was another Tathagata in this world at that time. Shakyamuni Buddha was not the only Buddha. You can read the teachings of Ven. Vimalakirti in the well-known sutra bearing His name. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III gave us this discourse, “The dharma I transmit is absolutely the dharma taught by the Buddha. However, I am not a Buddha. Neither am I a master. I am just a humble one propagating the true dharma of Tathagata, without distinguishing sects or schools. Any cultivator who has correct knowledge and views, even a very ordinary cultivator, is better than me. I should learn from them all. Therefore, my body, speech, and mind are just a humble structure.”

In 2008, I had the good fortune to have an interview in upstate New York with H.H. Penor Rinpoche, who had been the third supreme leader of the Nyingma Sect. He was one of the leaders who recognized H.H. Dorje Chang III. He told me that this was a very high being, much higher than he (Penor) was and it was very good that such a being should incarnate at this time in these dharma ending days and that He should reveal many miracles so that people would believe that the dharma still existed in this world. He also said that Dorje Chang had never before incarnated in Tibet and other wonderful things.

The fact is that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s mind practice is different from that of all other dharma kings, rinpoches, and dharma masters in the world. For example, He is truly completely proficient in exoteric and esoteric Buddhism and possesses perfect mastery of the five vidyas, while essentially no other people were able to accomplish that through history. More importantly, He is the only one who only benefits and helps all others and does not accept money or properties from other people. He has even announced that He would never accept offerings and would solely benefit others. Consequently, this fact causes other dharma kings, rinpoches, and great dharma masters of Buddhism to feel very embarrassed and depressed, because all these dharma kings, rinpoches, and dharma masters have to collect and accept offerings. Compared to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s deed of not accepting offerings, it became clear that they are at lower levels and are greedy for offerings from living beings. Therefore, they are very angry because H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s deed makes them unable to explain their acts.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III did NOT proclaim himself to be a Buddha. However, He was recognized by many others as such and He did not deny the fact. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has stated repeatedly that this is the era of Shakyamuni Buddha and that Shakyamuni Buddha is the supreme leader of Buddhism in the world today. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III only came to correct many of the mistranslations and erroneous views held by Buddhists and about Buddhism that exist in the world today. If you can visit the website of the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (www.hhdcb3office.org), you will truly find out that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a truly great Buddha. He has demonstrated countless accomplishments in all five of the vidyas–the only way that a buddha can be known. The five vidyas is an ancient concept that most Buddhist do not understand–I know I did not and it took me a long time to fully realize what was meant by the term.

I could write much more and have on this website. I must note that this is not an official website nor has it ever been reviewed or approved by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and probably contains errors, but it represents the best of my understanding of just who H.H. Who Is His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III? By Steven Meyers

Five Key Points about the Buddhist Spiritual Leader

Buddhism is among the largest religions in this world. The original founder of Buddhism and the religion’s highest spiritual leader in the universe is Dorje Chang Buddha. He is worshiped by all major sects and schools of Buddhism as the earliest primordial Buddha.

Buddhists belong to a religious belief that understands the universe’s nature of no-birth and no-annihilation and human beings’ original nature of true such-ness are one and the same. They believe in the cycle of transmigration driven by the law of cause and effect. They believe that after one’s biological death, the spirit or soul will incarnate and be reborn into a new being. In the case of the primordial Buddha, He has now incarnated to this world for the third time as His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. The highest spiritual leader in Buddhism alive today currently lives in the United States of America.

His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III is not one who seeks publicity. Even when awarded the Presidential Gold Award, the Dr. Martin Luther King Legacy Award for International Service and Leadership, and many other prestigious prizes, He did not attend the award ceremonies to receive the prizes in person. He is well known for loving-kindness and compassion, and has made a vow of only helping others and never accepting any offerings from anyone.

However, His accomplishments and accolades are widely-reported. The following are five of the most interesting things that you may not have known about His Holiness the Buddha:

  1. Buddhism classifies all material and spiritual matters and knowledge in the universe into five aspects. Complete mastery of these five aspects is called having realized the Five Vidyas (vidya is a Sanskrit word meaning brightness). Buddhas and Bodhisattvas must possess the Five Vidyas. The Five Vidyas include: the Vidya of Causality, the Vidya of Healing, the Vidya of Sound, the Vidya of Craftsmanship, and the Vidya of Inner Realization. Looking through the entire history of Buddhism, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III is the first holy one to perfectly manifest real accomplishments in the Five Vidyas, meeting the highest standard of Buddhism. For this reason and more, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III is the one and only individual in history to receive recognitions and corroborating recognitions from over 60 of the highest present-day dharma kings and regent dharma kings from various Buddhist sects.
  2. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was awarded the Top Honor Prize during the World Peace Prize Ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on June 14, 2011. The World Peace Prize is an initiative to promote world peace and understanding between different nations, ethnicities, cultures and religions. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was recognized for receiving this Top Honor Prize by the 112th Congress in U.S. Senate Res. 614, commending His Holiness the Buddha for his role in advancing peace, justice and inter-religious collaboration.
  3. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III has long been an internationally renowned artist. His paintings are not limited by subject or themes and are of many types, from water-ink paintings to oil paintings. Specifically, the subject matters include human figures, animals, flowers and birds, mountain and water scenes, fish, insects, and so on. Within the wide range of styles, there is fine brushwork, drawing with lines and strings, splash-ink, bold freehand brushwork, small freehand brushwork, and others. Altogether, He created 16 unique painting styles or schools, representing an unprecedented pioneering achievement in the history of art. His paintings are on permanent exhibition at the International Art Museum of America in San Francisco, the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum in Los Angeles County, and other art museums. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III’s paintings are extremely valuable and rare. As early as in 2000, His artworks were sold for more than two million U.S. dollars each. He became the artist whose paintings commanded the highest prices compared to the prices for paintings created by all ancient and modern Chinese artists. Last March, an ink painting of His was sold at the New York Spring Auction for $16.5 million, which was the highest price realized at the 2015 Spring Auction of all artworks by ancient and modern artists worldwide. He is the world’s first inventor to create a class of artworks that cannot be duplicated by anyone or with any method — Yun Sculpture. Only after that, the world now has un-duplicable artworks. Experts predict that His paintings will become increasingly valuable as His Holiness plans to focus solely on Buddhist activities.
  4. In 2011, the then Mayor of Washington, D.C., Vincent Gray, proclaimed January 19th as “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day.” The mayor called on D.C. residents to join him in saluting “His selfless and exceptional work to spread the word of peace to all those in His presence.” The Unites States Postal Service also issued a commemorative cover in celebration of “His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III Day.”
  5. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha is a Fellow of Britain’s Royal Academy of Arts, making Him the first internationally distinguished artist appointed to a Fellowship in the Academy’s history of more than 200 years. The title of Fellow was awarded by the Academy’s President, Phillip King, at a ceremony in the British Embassy in Washington.

Unless you are an astute follower of Buddhism, you may not have known that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III has been recognized as the third incarnation of the original Buddha. His accomplishments clearly transcend religion, healing, art, philosophy, and literature. He continues to devote His time to a wide scope of cultural, religious, and various other domains directed at helping people in communities across the globe. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III has made the following vow: “I will bear all of the karmic offenses committed by living beings, and I will give everyone all of the good karma and merit that I plant.” His Holiness the Buddha has been executing it exactly as is.

Steven Meyers received his bachelor’s degree in Chinese language from Brown University, where he graduated magna cum laude. After graduating, Mr. Meyers spent a year at the Stanford Center in Taiwan furthering his study of the Chinese language. Later, he received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan and is now an attorney licensed to practice law in the state of California. He has been providing legal advice to California non-profit corporations since 1996. His current focus is translating Buddhist material from Chinese into English.

Master Wan Ko Yee Has Made A Great Contribution To Art

by Sharon S. March 30, 2021

Master Wan Ko Yee Has Made A Great Contribution To Art

The Organization of American States, Which is Composed of 34 Countries, Including the United States and Canada, Invited Ambassador from Various Countries, as Well as United States Senators and Congresspersons, to Attend the Exhibition of Yun Sculptures.

ON JULY 28th in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States, the Organization of American States held the “Master Wan Ko Yee Yun Sculpture Exhibition.” This exhibition was mainly directed at ambassadors from various countries, United States senators and congresspersons, and high-level government officials in the White House. The Organization of American States is a world organization that is composed of 34 countries, including the Unites States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States is selected from the presidents of the various member countries. The present Secretary General Is Cesar Gaviria, President of Columbia. After that organization communicated many times with the Master Yi Yungao International Cultural Institute, and after much effort, the Organization of American States came to have a thorough understanding of Master Wan Ko Yee and came to recognize him.

Because Master Wan Ko is an outstanding Master of saintly wisdom, many world renowned Masters who are highly achieved In saintly wisdom have formally acknowledged him as their Master. The Master has reached great heights in areas such as philosophy, science, sociology, medicine, poetry, calligraphy, painting, and art.

Master Wan Ko Yee was born in China and now resides in the United States where he also is distinguished researcher and university professor. Master’s Yun sculpting is a form of art that he successfully founded in the United States for the benefit of mankind. Through this unprecedented form of art, Master Wan Ko has created carvings that rival the beauty of nature’s creations.

Master Wan Ko Yee’s pioneering sculpture basically deals with the carving of stone material into the form of an oval boulder, which is then carved hollow. Inside this hole is a mysterious and changing world where wondrous mist is constantly circling upward, making the Master the only person who has been able to create mist within this type of carvings. His innovative technique also makes it currently impossible to duplicate his sculptures.

When viewing his Yun sculptures. one experiences a carefree and peaceful feeling that is difficult to describe. No beautiful scenery in any limestone cave in the world can compare with Master Wan Ko’s incredible Yun sculptures, which are inexhaustibly gorgeous. Yun sculptures contain various layers of sights that seem to be constantly changing, offering splendid colors not comparable to anything in the world.

Master Wan Ko was able to create these treasures based upon his high state of realization, profound and extensive knowledge, as well as his understanding of the laws that underlie birth, growth, and transformation of all things in the universe.

Because of the great artistic contributions Master Wan Ko Yee had made for the benefit of the world, and in order to commend the Master, the Organization of American States held a special exhibition of the Master’s Yun sculptures in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. The Carvings of Wan Ko Yee, A Master of Art Were Exhibited, Providing People The Opportunity to Appreciate the Highest Form of Art
Unlike All Other Forms Of Art, His Works Cannot be Duplicated

TRIBUNE U.S.A. SEPTEMBER 13-19,2002 VOL. V NO.38

The Carvings of Wan Ko Yee, A Master of Art Were Exhibited, Providing People The Opportunity to Appreciate the Highest Form of Art
Unlike All Other Forms Of Art, His Works Cannot be Duplicated

A Painting by Master Wan Ko Yee sold for the highest price of any Chinese painting ever sold at an art auction. He has once again started the art world by recently exhibiting in California his superlatively crafted carvings. This exhibition provided people with the opportunity to appreciate the highest form of art. The themes of his carvings are from nature. His carvings are so natural looking that they are free from any traces of conscious artistry. In fact, they even surpass the workings of nature. They truly take one’s breath away. What is even more astonishing to those in art circles is that there is no way to copy any of his carvings. His works cannot be imitated through rubbings, grouting or computer simulation. Such an accomplishment is unprecedented in the history of art. The Master’s carvings have raised the level of art in the world to the highest level, since his workmanship has reached the acme of perfection.

At an art auction, Master Wan Ko Yee’s painting entitled “The Venerable Da Li Wang” sold for US$2,207,912. This set a record for the most expensive Chinese painting ever sold. However, compared to his paintings, his carvings are even more difficult to obtain. When art critics view Master Wan Ko Yee’s carvings, they all evince expressions of astonishment, saying such things as, “these works of art could not possibly have been sculpted by man! Their style is vivid. Their scale is large. They are marvelous creations excelling nature. To say that they are superb would be insufficient. It would be accurate to say that the sculptor is a great master of art the likes of whom have never been seen before. It would also be appropriate to say that the sculptor is a beacon in the world of art, that he is a pre-eminent sculptor, and that his carvings surpass even nature itself”.

Master Wan Ko Yee’s carvings fall into four different styles: realistic, abstract, classical and modern. Each style is fascinating and too beautiful to be absorbed all at once. Each style has an alluring and wonderful quality to it, providing the viewer with a unique feeling. The viewer cannot help but acclaim the sculptor as a magnificent master of art.

Take for example, Master Wan Ko Yee’s carving entitled “Limestone Cave”. It has the shape of a natural huge rock formation, with stalactites of differing lengths. When you view the details of this rock formation, you realize that there are wonderful sights within the holes. You cannot help but be dumbfounded, thinking that this rock formation must have been transported from Lu di Rocks in Guilin or from the Wu Ling Garden Limestone Cave or from the Ejian Bi Stalactite Cave in Taiwan. How you ask could this possibly have been made by man? However, when you calmly reflect upon this, you realize that nature does not contain such small stalactites.

When the viewer squats down and carefully looks inside the holes, he will see small pillars of rocks, stalactites, rocks in the form of fungus and hanging rocks in the form of shields. All of these rock formations seem as if they were naturally formed through the constant dripping of water. You cannot see any traces of a chisel or other carving tool even though the carving was made from solid resin. Even nature could not make such a thing. But how could the artist have carved inside the small holes? How could there be so many natural looking stalactites in such a small area? Such exquisite rock formations cannot be found in a real limestone care.

Most works of art cannot be compared with the superlative craftsmanship of nature. However, the artistic level of this work of art not only surpasses the works of other artists, it also surpasses the majesty of natural limestone caves.

There is also the carving called “Wonder of Mysterious Cave,” which is even more phenomenal than the “Limestone Cave.” Master Wan Ko Yee has sculpted this amazing rock formation which appears entirely natural. There are many hole within the rock formation and even hole within the holes. There is a variety of scenes within the holes. Each facet of this carving is exquisite and flawless. Even the rock formations of nature cannot compare with it.

Those who have seen natural caves will marvel at the interplay of lightness and shade and the effects of this interplay over time. Similarly, the shining of light upon this “Wonder of a Mysterious Cave” from different angles will produce various effects of lightness and shade, as well as various color changes. The shapes of the holes are diversified and marvelous. The artistic level of this carving is indescribably high. Its curves and lines flow smoothly, like mellifluous music. Anyone who wants to full appreciate the beauty that this work of art displays will have to spend at least forty minutes viewing it. This sculpture, which is most fascinating, is much more marvelous than a natural cave. This artistic accomplishment portrays something within nature but at the same time surpasses nature. Often, there is only one facet or part of a natural rock formation that is enchanting. The other facets or parts do not display anything wonderful. However, every facet or part of this carving by the Master is enchanting. Thus, the viewer has a deep appreciation for the entire carving. This is an unprecedented accomplishment in the history of art.

What is even more amazing is that there is no way in the world to copy this wonderful rock formation. It cannot be imitated though rubbings, grouting or computer simulation. This is also a great accomplishment that is unprecedented in the history of art.

Of those carvings by Master Wan Ko Yee that were exhibited in California, the smallest was about three feet tall and the largest was about ten feet high and twenty feet long. The feeling one gets when viewing his carvings is that each of them must have taken three, four, or five years to complete. Some of his works leave one with the impression that the artist must have spent a few dozen years just carving that one work of art. More important, each of the Master’s carvings seem more real and majestic than the creations of nature. The viewer is both visually and mentally amazed at such sights. The inimitable nature of the Master’s carvings makes each of them unique and priceless. The Master has made an enormous contribution to the world of sculpture.

His magnificent accomplishments openly serve as a model for others; his many honors stir the world.

THE GOVERNMENT of the State of California and the government of the City of San Francisco each declared March 8th as Master Wan Ko Yee Day. On March 13th the government of the City of San Francisco again expressed its highest respects for Master Wan Ko Yee’s special accomplishments by conferring upon him more honors. These newest honors were conferred based upon the Master’s position as the foremost Buddhist Master in the entire world and his tremendous achievements in the areas of art, ethics, scholarship and science.

In 1994 the Master was awarded the title of “Distinguished International Master” by the World Poets and Culture Congress, an organization composed of members from forty-eight different countries and regions. This title is conferred upon only one person in the world and is on the same level of honor as a head of state. The Distinguished International Master Certificate was signed by Juan Antonio Samaranch, the then President of the International Olympic Committee. The formal resolution conferring upon the Master such title was announced in Hungary on September 15,1994 and formal written notification was sent to the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and other government organs.

The central government of China built a museum in honor of the Master in the Master’s hometown. In the entire history of China, this was the first museum ever built in the government of China in honor of someone who is still alive. The Master Wan Ko Yee Museum is a huge structure similar to an imperial palace and is divided into seven different sections.

The Master is extraordinarily accomplished in Chinese painting and calligraphy and has laid the groundwork for bringing Chinese paintings to the international forum. He has won the highest respect of the Chinese and American people for having raised the level of culture and morality in the world, for his efforts in philosophy, for his contributions in advancing the cultural exchange between China and the United States, and for being a model of ethical conduct.

Thus, after the head of the City Council of San Francisco and ten City Council members held a meeting, they decided to jointly sign and confer upon Master Wan Ko Yee a certificate of honor for his special accomplishments. The city government of San Francisco also declared the Master an honorary citizen of San Francisco in order to express their great admiration for him.

What is most unusual is that Master Wan Ko Yee is not in the United States to accept these distinctive honors. Nevertheless, his great learning, high ethics and magnificent accomplishments cannot be covered up. He has been repeatedly honored by various organizations throughout the United States such as the world Buddhism Association, the Tibetan Buddhism Association of America, the World Buddhism Jenn Fa Association Assembly, and the American League of Colleges and Universities which is composed of more than eighty colleges and universities.

All of this shows that Master Wan Ko Yee is a man of tremendous virtue, the likes of whom are rarely seen in the history of mankind. People all over the world admire and emulate him.

What Type of Expert Is He? The Selling Price of His Painting “Majesty” Has Shocked the World

What Type of Expert Is He? The Selling Price of His Painting “Majesty” Has Shocked the World

Some people say that Master Wan Ko Yee is an expert in Buddhism. Some say that he is a great painter or a great singer. There are those who say that he is a great medical expert or a great ethicist. There are also those who say that he is a scientist. On May 28th, Unique Art Collections International Co., Ltd. auctioned Master Wan Ko Yee’s painting entitled “Majesty.” An art collector purchased this painting by way of competitive bid for a price of NT$64,950,000 (this equals U.S.$2,125,327.) People all over the world were shocked to hear of this purchase price.

Some people think that the paintings of Master Wan Ko Yee are Buddhist paintings and for this reason command such an extraordinarily high price. This viewpoint, which has been expressed to the media by certain people who do not understand art, is totally erroneous. In fact, Mr. Wan Ko Yee is a great artist whose paintings cannot be matched by anyone in this day and age. Eleven of his paintings were exhibited by China in an international art exhibition which took place in Philadelphia in 1978. The mainland Chinese government even built a huge art museum, the first of its kind in the history of China, in order to display more than two hundred of his paintings.

Master Wan Ko Yee is not only a famous and great artist, he is also a leader in the world of art. When he was twenty years old, he was the head of the Chinese Painting Research Division of the China Education, Science and Culture Organization. This is a high level organization within art circles in China and its leaders include people such as Chou Ying-Nan, Wu Zhang-Shu, Qian Jun-Tao, Xie Zhi-Liao, Liang Shu-Ming, Wan Lai-Ming and Cang Ke-Jia.

In the entire history of Chinese painting, no other painter was able to master the amount of artistic skills, the variety of different styles and the diversity of subject matter which Master Wan Ko Yee has mastered. Other painters could only exhibit two or three different artistic skills at the most. For example, Zhang, Da-Qian exhibited three different artistic skills: line painting, traditional painting and splash ink painting. However, Master Wan Ko Yee has completely mastered a few dozen different artistic skills. Master Wan Ko Yee can paint landscapes, people and other objects, animals, flowers, birds, fish and insects by using the meticulous brushwork style or by using the freehand brushword style. Whichever style he uses, his paintings are always elegant, grand, and full of life. One can get a glimpse of his artistic skills by looking through the huge book which contains a collection of his paintings.

In 1995, the Sichuan Daily News and the Chengdu Evening News each printed an advertisement on behalf of an auction house. This auction house wanted to buy the Master’s paintings for a price of R.M.B. 1,700 yuan per square inch. Master Wan Ko Yee’s skills have reached the highest level in the world when it comes to ink and wash paintings. Thus, in 1991, the World Poets and Culture Congress conferred upon him the title of “The world’s only Distinguished International Master.” This is the highest position possible and is on the same level of honor as a head of state.

Of course, the Master is also an ethicist. His books included Selected Philosophical Saying of Master Wan Ko Yee. He is a singer. There are fourteen tapes and CD’s containing his songs. The famous singer Zhang Huw-You is his student. He is a scientist. He developed two green teas called “Ba Wang Chun” and “Bi Yu Chun.” These are the best quality teas in the world. He is a medical expert who has cured countless people of a variety of different diseases. There were times when in one day, more than three hundred people had appointments to see the Master for treatment. The Master invented many new treatments for diseases, such as an extremely effective different experts? Why is it that this one person Master Wan Ko Yee, has combined skills of several different experts? The main reason is that he is a Great Dharma King Master of Buddhism. He has truly mastered the Five Knowledges spoken if in Buddhism. All of his skills mentioned above cover only part of the Five Knowledges which he has mastered. Instead of trying to describe what type of the expert he is, it would be better simply to say that he surpasses the word “expert.” He is a precious treasure who is a benefit to humanity. He is a Dharma King Master who is a rare gem in this world.

The Organization of American States Held The Master Wan Ko Yee Yun Sculpture Exhibition

The Organization of American States Is Composed of Thirty-Four Countries, Including the United States and Canada. The Secretary General of that Organization, Cesar Gaviria, Presided Over the Opening Ceremony. Ambassadors from Various Countries and Members of the United States Congress Attended

ON JULY 28th in the capital of the United States, Washington D.C., the Organization of American States held the “Master Wan Ko Yee Yun Sculpture Exhibition.” The Organization of American States is composed of 34 countries, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This exhibition was mainly directed at ambassadors from various countries, as well as United States senators and congresspersons. The former President of Columbia and the present Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Cesar Gaviria, personally presided over the exhibition. All of the attendees were astounded by what they saw. They highly praised Master Wan Ko Yee for bringing to this world for the first time such incomparably beautiful Yun sculptures. These sculptures surpass the beauty of natural creations and are truly divine craftsmanship. For the first time in the history of mankind, a form of art has appeared that is impossible to duplicate.

What everybody was earnestly hoping for happened. The Chief of Protocol for the Organization of American States, Ana O’Brien, led into the exhibition room Master Wan Ko Yee and the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Cesar Gaviria. The two of them were standing side by side, Master Yee’s wife, Professor Wang Yu-Hua, and their son and daughter, all walked into the room right behind Master Yee. A round of applause immediately resounded throughout the room. The limelight began to rise and fall. Reporters from all over the world began to congregate before the speaking platform.

In its introduction, the Organization of American States pointed out that Master Wan Ko Yee was born in China and now resides in the United States. He is a distinguished researcher and university professor. Master Wan Ko Yee’s Yun sculpting is a form of art that he successfully founded in the United States for the benefit of mankind. Through this unprecedented form of art, Master Wan Ko has created carvings that rival the beauty of nature’s beauty.

The oval boulders that Master Wan Ko Yee creates have a hole inside them. Inside this hole is a mysterious and changing world that is too beautiful to be absorbed at one time. Additionally, there is auspicious mist circling upward. This is inexhaustibly wondrous mist. Master Yee is the only person in history who has been able to create mist through his carvings. Because of the Master’s great sculpting skills, nobody in the world today can duplicate his sculptures.

Viewing the Master’s carvings gives one a feeling of relaxation and happiness that is difficult to describe. The limestone caves in China’s Guangxi Province, the Ludi caves, the Grand Canyon, and the limestone caves in Columbia, cannot match with marvelous and exquisite Yun sculptures of Master Wan Ko Yee. The seemingly ever-changing layers of scenes, the splendid and majestic colors, and the natural-looking formations all make these Yun sculptures more beautiful than the works of nature itself. No other sculptures like them can be found in the world.

Master Yee was able to create these unique treasures because of his high state of realization, profound and extensive knowledge, and penetration of the laws of the universe governing birth, growth, and change of all things.

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States is selected from the presidents of the various member countries. The present Secretary General, Cesar Gaviria, now leads the Organization of American States. Because Master Wan Ko Yee has made a great contribution to the field of art for the benefit of mankind, the Organization of American States conducted this exhibition of the Master’s Yun sculptures in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. The Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Dr. Cesar Gaviria, presided over the opening ceremony. There were two main categories of displayed items. The first category consisted of three Yun sculptures entitled “Mysterious Mist Inside a Stone,” “Gao Shi Tu” (The State of Realization of a Saint) and “Tang Huang Kuai Shi Xi” (A Majestic and Splendid Stone Suggestive of Poetry Song and Painting.) The second category consisted of 26 photographs of Yun sculptures.

In his speech, Cesar Gaviria said that Master Wan Ko Yee is a distinguished Master of saintly wisdom, many world-renowned Masters who are highly achieved in saintly wisdom have formally acknowledged him as their Master. The Master has reached great heights in areas such as philosophy, science, etc. Because of the utmost proficiency, Master Yee has reached such a high state of realization in arts and brings such beauty for mankind to appreciate. He has made great artistic contribution to mankind. They are honored to have the opportunity to host Master Wan Ko Yee’s Yun Sculpture Exhibition. On behalf of the Organization of American States, Dr. Gaviria would like to thank Master Wan Ko Yee for honoring them with the Master’s presence and sharing with them his distinct and renowned sculpture.

The ambassador Marina Valere from the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago praised the Master’s works, saying, “Dr. Yee’s exhibition was an almost unrealistic experience. His inspiration must have come from a supreme force which helped to guide that hand to create such almost indescribable works of art. A marvelous experience!”

Some of the honored guests who attended the exhibition included Ambassador Carlos Holguin from Columbia, Ambassador Michael King from Barbados, Ambassador Antoine from Grenada, and ambassador Chase from Paraguay. Many ambassadors from various countries were enraptured by the sculptures on display They walked back and forth in the exhibition room, continually uttering words of praise.

Additionally, when United States Congressman Hanrahan walked in front of the sculpture entitled “Tang Huang Kuai Shi Xi” (A Majestic and Splendid Stone Suggestive of Poetry, Song and Painting), he continuously nodded his head, saying to himself, “Amazing!”

The Chief of Protocol for the Organization of American States, Ana O’Brien, said, “Stunning!”

The President of White House President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, Dr. John Tsu said that it is the superlative craftsmanship. It surpasses nature. Nobody in history has created such works of art. Nobody can duplicate them. He also said that after former President Bush saw Yun sculptures, he lavishly praised them.

The Advisor of Prime Minister of Belize said that many people have come here today. Each of them has praised the sculptures and was amazed at them. I have not seen one person who did not praised them.

A great number of people attended the exhibition, and it was a grand occasion. Many people surrounded the Yun sculptures on display and uttered words of admiration. They said that the exhibition was too short and that a longer exhibition should be held to give people around the world the opportunity to appreciate such inexhaustibly beautiful carvings.

6 Amazing Works of Calligraphy by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

1. “To Shine Like the Sun and Moon, Cultivate Peacefulness by Being Tolerant and Patient.” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (忍里修和瑞日月 德中仁者壽山河)

Couplet writter by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

The meaning of this couplet is as follows:

No matter what our circumstances may be, we must always remember to be tolerant and patient under insult and adversity and cultivate our conduct at all times. Additionally, we should broadly plant seeds of goodness and develop ourselves to be selfless people of noble moral character. This type of morality is as bright as the sun and moon. Those who personify it will receive the respect and love of others.

“To last as long as the mountains and rivers, be a benevolent one of virtue” refers to people who have a noble moral character; who exemplify benevolence, justice, proper manners, wisdom, and faithfulness; who show loving care for others; and who selflessly contribute to others. Their state of realization and virtue will last as long as the mountains and rivers, never fading away.

2. “Noble Manner” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (格高) :
The two Chinese characters in this work of calligraphy mean “Noble Manner.”

“Noble Manner” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

The meaning of the two Chinese characters is as follows:

  • The term “Noble Manner” means that one should have an elevated and broad manner, an all-inclusive magnanimity. We should let others, rather than ourselves, have that which is beneficial so that we may attain a noble moral character, and we should cultivate a mentality of non-attachment in order to develop our virtue.

3. “Tiny” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (小不點)
Note: The artist maintains a childlike, innocent mind yet wields the brush with an experienced, mature hand.

“Tiny” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

The meaning of the two Chinese characters is as follows:

  • Regardless of how great one‘s abilities are even if one’s talents are unsurpassed in the entire world or one is the leading authority in a certain field, as a human being, one should develop one’s virtue. build one‘s true abilities, and benefit others. To do this, one must first be modest and open-minded and regard oneself as an ordinary person, a servant to others, a tiny, insignificant being. One should not think that one is superior to others in any respect.  Only by considering the interests of others in such a Way can one become selfless and be naturally magnanimous.

4. “Great Accomplishment Is Attained Only Through Selflessness” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (無我乃大成)
Note: This work of calligraphy is in the steel brush-tip technique.

“Great Accomplishment Is Attained Only Through Selflessness” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

There is profound meaning to the sentence “Great accomplishment is attained only through selflessness.”

  • As human beings living in this world, we must first let go of “self.” Day and night we should stay far away from selfishness and should derive our happiness from benefiting others. When attachment to the concept of self is absent in our thoughts, we become free of selfishness and greed. Our minds become bright, clear, and free of impediments. We then consider the interests of others and are naturally respected by others.

5. “When Images of Three Buddhas Appear, the Genuine Nature of Jade Will Come Forth” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (佛上三圖真玉性 古蘭點下老松心)

“When Images of Three Buddhas Appear,
the Genuine Nature of Jade Will Come Forth”
by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

This Work of calligraphy was written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in Chengdu, China in the year 1990. Its meaning is that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III would appear in this world in the future when images of three Buddhas appear in the world; that is, when the lineage chart of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha I, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha II, and H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III appears with their images.

The lineage chart of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is worshiped in many Buddhist temples and other Buddhist sites all over the world. When those three images appeared, the true Buddha-dharma was like the nature of jade — unchanging — and it emanated the highest and purest fragrance and charm, like those of an ancient orchid. The true primordial, ancient Buddha stands upright like a lone pine tree and expounds the ultimate truth of tathagata-garbha to benefit all living beings. This work of calligraphy translates as. “When images of three Buddhas appear, the genuine nature of jade will come forth. An ancient orchid points to the mind of an old pine tree.”

As predicted, the person formerly known as Master Wan Ko is the present day H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. This was affirmed by dharma kings, regent dharma kings, and great rinpoches of all major sects of Buddhism around the world, who wrote recognition certificates and corroborating congratulatory letters. This recognition of identity was indeed a grand event in Buddhism. The above-mentioned prediction made years ago in 1990 is truly wonderful beyond words.

Important figures and dignitaries from various walks of life joined in the celebration. Seven U.S. Air Force bombers of the WWII era were specially dispatched to fly over the Museum in formation, leaving color cloud trails as an expression of congratulations. “Philosophical Sayings about Worldly Matters” XXI-XXV

by Sharon S. February 12, 2021

《世法哲言》 26~30

Written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

XXVI.
A person grows wiser by learning from the setbacks he suffered. True knowledge comes from one’s own experience. Secondhand experience is worth little.
人生明達之道,悟于挫折迭起之踐,凡事之解者,必于親身所歷之驗也,無實之聞,聞而無實,故身之所歷親見本來,得以明達之理。

XXVII.
Nothing hurts more than conceit. Claim to know what you actually do not and people will turn their back on you, leaving you in the cold. How can you tell an honest person from a wise person? An honest person is one who does not pretend to know what he does not; a wise person is one who does not say more than what the occasion demands. Both persons keep conceit away.
驕敵巨害,知一狂二,點滴之因唯吾巨識,驕之人遠,傲之或離,事成業就之死敵也。忠士、智士怎分別相?二士遠離驕敵,知百言百乃忠士,識千而應機所說乃智士也。

XXVIII.
One owes one’s success to external factors that tap one’s potential. A solitary piece of wood by itself can never make a house, and it takes meticulous processing to reveal the beauty of jade stones.
人才之成就者,具內因必依外緣之助耳,無或之幫獨木何房,頑石美玉依藝或之精雕而絢麗之道,理法如是。

XXIX.
Be aware that regret is an enemy of success, or you will be regretting day after day. The time spent on regretting could well be used for action. Therefore, do not let action be replaced by regretting. Once you realize that this is the Way, there will be no time for regretting whatsoever.
嘆息之敵弗可視,視則明日復明日,嘆息之時即為功,莫讓嘆息代行功,識破機關當下道,何來惱悔與嘆風。

XXX.
A protracted dispute is wrong on both sides. Why? Entangled in such a dispute, both sides see only the faults of the opposing party and the merits of his own. Continuing dispute will but increase the wrongdoing. When one realizes that the other party is as annoyed as he is, one is apt to withdraw from the dispute.
久執之爭,是為雙錯,原何也,互見其過兮,互識自優兮,久之誤重,則弗見其對惱耳,由是無爭于執也。

“Philosophical Sayings about Worldly Matters” XXI-XXV

by Sharon S. February 11, 2021

《世法哲言》 21~25

Written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

XXI.
A city does not need all the food a province produces, but that much food is far from enough to feed the whole country; it needs all the food the country can produce. The strength of an individual is nothing compared with collective strength.
一省之田為一市之用甚多也,一國之或何以覺之,國人國土而方養之,一人之力頗大者則弗及其眾推之量也。

XXII.
What to do to beat your equal in battle? Attack him where he is most vulnerable with concentrated force and victory will be yours. A piece of wood with a sharp end can break another piece of wood that is just as hard as the wood you use to attack.
相對能量何以足之?專一而取之,甲乙等力之對,甲專攻其乙之一,甲可勝之,相等料木以一尖刺其面,可制于傷也。

XXIII.
Success in life depends not only on wisdom and ability but also on time and opportunity. Given no time and opportunity, wisdom and ability cannot come into play. Only when all the elements meet will success be the result. This is the true way of achieving success.
成就之或俱之智者而善利時,故事業之成必備時,具智無時業無研機,時智具之,就業由然,成就之道弗出定諦也。

XXIV.
Intellectual and material resources work in opposite ways. Intellectual resources are limitless; the more they are tapped, the broader they grow in scope. Impermanent in nature and limited in quantity, material resources last but a short time, and the more they are consumed the sooner they are exhausted. The truth is that the former is non-quantifiable and thus infinite and everlasting while the latter is quantifiable and therefore diminishing and exhaustible.
慧海之庫與物質之倉是為反量也,慧庫無為轉無量,多用之反增之。物倉儲存乃無常,施之減之,故無為乃大,大在無量,無常乃微,微在消然。

XXV.
Exercise caution when everything goes your way; persevere in what you do when nothing goes your way. In the former case, lack of caution results in disasters; in the latter case, perseverance will never go unrewarded.
風順之道莫放肆而疏忽之,艱難之途當振作而謹慎之,面順而失之慎災必至焉,迎難行而奮取福田由然。

“Philosophical Sayings about Worldly Matters” XVI-XX

by Sharon S. February 11, 2021

《世法哲言》 16~20

Written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

XVI.
When a person says that he never erros, he is whitewashing his error and thus erring.
凡出語之余無非也,謂詞似為非也,言無失者乃以詞奪理之失,故為非也。

XVII.
What makes the sun the greatest thing man has ever known? It is admired for providing light and warmth for all the beings under it. A truly great person is one who is willing to sacrifice his own benefit for the well-being of others.
太陽性之于偉,何以故耳?面萬法與群生施光放熱故耳,故為人讚,由是之道,為或之流為眾而消益者是為其大也。

XVIII.
There is nothing more foolish than for one to believe that all one sees is reason and the universe is created from it. Whenever one measures everything from one’s own standards, that person is demonstrating ignorance.
人愚之最癖是為我見是理,萬物由己量之由是而生,此屬心之弗明所至無知故也,凡為余衡量諸物似為尺度者,實則無識也。

XIX.
Anger over other people’s faults is a demon. It torments the person possessed by it while leaving the wrongdoers alone.
陰魔之出是為生氣,視他之非而為煩惱,實乃暗敵自傷,何塗他人之皮毛耳。

XX.
The respect a person enjoys comes from his devotion to the well-being of other people. A swimming pool is admired in summer because it provides relief from the heat.
受人之敬者,由布益于或而所至也,如眾之讚游池妙哉,原在它之解暑施涼故耳。

“Philosophical Sayings about Worldly Matters” XI-XV

by Sharon S. February 10, 2021

《世法哲言》11~15

Written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

XI.
Undue haste causes delay, and procrastination causes loss. With this point of view, one shall choose the Middle Way as a principle. When a violin is tuned too low, its strings produce disharmony, but when it’s tuned too high, the strings are likely to snap.

欲速則不達,行慢而失獲,事理如是觀,正住中道參,琴弦之懈弗出和雅之音,反之過緊則易于折。

XII.
What standards does one go by in choosing a person for a particular undertaking? It is both weaknesses and strengths that make a person what he is; these qualities are inseparable. Don’t dismiss a candidate just because of his weaknesses, or you will end up with no candidates at all. The wise thing to do is to give him a chance to make the best of his strengths.

對人才之取捨何別?天下之或優劣和合之因,所匯果也,為一體之和,不可分割之,由是見劣而不取或,優之何獲,故收或而取優捨劣是為理也。

XIII.
Deliberation is needed before one makes a move, but no conclusion is to be drawn from deliberation alone. It has to be tested in action. Suggested moves are not to be adopted in haste, nor are they to be rejected out of hand; they are not to be dismissed even when tests have proved them worthless, for in this case an inquiry into their legitimacy has to be made. When a rainbow is blocked from view by clouds, it does not mean that there is no rainbow out there.
凡事應三思之弗覺,體實而再行之,不可聞言而從,亦不可聽之否虛,三思之下實施無道者,當進而窮根之研,欲覓高天彩虹而遇烏雲之佈,則疑于霞輝之弗成也,是為過失。

XIV.
A person not appreciative of the good life he is living is one who has forgotten his past miseries. A person in good health is not aware of its blessings until he loses it.

或生于福而弗識其福,乃處福忘逆之故也,身強以弗察其康,病者之流皆知康安之樂也。

XV.
A wise person knows that negative experiences in life are just as useful as positive ones. That is why he remembers both of them. Negative experiences are taken as warnings against erring and positive ones as means to increase the well-being of others. Such is the attitude of a wise person toward life experiences.

善知識者諸語皆收,諸識皆藏,歸己為用,施之眾或所益,原何來,善知本性為或而福,劣理作己批照,善道養德為或。

“Philosophical Sayings about Worldly Matters” VI-X

by Sharon S. January 25, 2021

《世法哲言》 6~10

Written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

VI.
The construction of a tall building begins with the laying of groundwork from which it goes up floor by floor. Structures resting on nothing are seen only in a mirage. Building up a career is like putting up a building: what is needed are firm steps taken one after another toward the goal and executed with the support of true knowledge gained from experience. These steps, aided by a defiance of obstacles, will eventually lead one to success.

高樓之建首在築基,依次而上,空中樓閣于世弗成,事業之就亦復如是,足踏其實,步無虛發,真知之具由然實鑒,具實者于高難而不畏其困,故攀之于高而在于實。

VII.
One in good fortune should remember the days in woe. A good soldier knows that battle victories are just as common as defeats. It is too late to remember one’s umbrella when he is caught in a downpour without it.

立之于福應憶于難,取之勝者莫忘兵家常事,暴雨之下方憶其傘者必水淋其身也。

VIII.
Profound wisdom and ability are the inner qualities of a person who possesses them. A person lacking in these qualities but trying to impress people that he is in possession of them is not to be taken seriously. Bamboo with its hollow interior can never support a building.

雄才之料必當內充其實也,華其外而碎其內弗可大器而登堂,心空之竹終非棟樑之材。

IX.
When one is held up by obstacles on his way to a rendezvous, he should back down so that he may reach his destination sooner. It is like driving a car in reverse gear; one does that because he will be able to drive forward faster later on.

赴約者奔往為事,中遇道障之退,更便速前也,車擋雖倒掛之行,而在更利前行之策也。

X.
The one who is only good at reciting other’s works is ignorant. The value in such works lies in their application to reality. A brilliant university graduate, or a master of the Four Books and Five Scriptures, without knowing how to put what he has learned into practice, can hardly fend for himself and offers no benefit to society. Only when the masterpieces are in put into use can they be powerful in terms of social advancement. It is only then that knowledge is transformed into a material force.

唯誦文章是無知,文學之才唯附實,而今大學四書五經,為文弗施者,收之弗能養其己,放之不利其眾或,唯誦何益之有,施詩文于社會之用,造益利眾者,是為轉知化實也。

“Philosophical Sayings about Worldly Matters” I-V

by Sharon S. January 25, 2021

《世法哲言》 1~5

Written by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

I.
A person is established in character only when he truly knows himself. Why? It is difficult for a person to be aware of his own flaws, just as he cannot see his own back, though it is in plain sight of other people. It is quite natural for a person to hide his own flaws, but overdoing it will alienate the person from those around him. When the person realizes this and feels ashamed, he turns to seek knowledge and adhere to moral integrity so as to establish his own character and win the respect and support of other people.

II.
In a dispute about right and wrong, there is nothing worse than to stick to one’s position and continue arguing, thus compounding one’s wrong and finally getting into trouble. For this reason, one should not let oneself be overwhelmed by disputes.

是非由或自論,凡事之非,莫可于執,著之抗言之鬥,自度非業加盛,終至入患,由是之道故面是非切勿掛懷。

III.
Love and hate arise from a combination of causes. People cannot love a thing without seeing it, hearing about it or remembering it. Without one of the these experiences, there will be no feeling, whether love or hate.

愛恨和合而生,汝愛之彼必見之、聞之、憶之,三者必居其一也,弗具一之因,其念無存,焉具其愛,恨緣亦復如是。

IV.
It is exceedingly foolish for a person to claim that he possesses the ability to meet all social needs. Viewed against the background of the infinity of such needs, the ability of an individual is as insignificant as a speck of dust. Even in the one area of activity in which he claims superiority, the ability of an individual pales because there are always many others who can do better.

V.
How much one learns from his teacher depends a great deal
on the guidance his teacher provides him. A good teacher,
therefore, should be a role model for his students in moral
integrity as well as scholarship, and his students should strive to reach high levels through accumulating knowledge and attaining moral integrity. In this manner learning is a part of the way to human perfection.

學道之識依師導故,為人師表德識照或,學者奮修諸識而積其品,終可至學于淵,是為人道之學道也。
